Army Training Command (ARTRAC) Family Welfare Organisation is a registered NGO. It is responsible for all families of HQ ARTRAC at Shimla and its 30 Cat 'A' Establishments, spread all over the contry. there are 110 officers, and 108 PBOR families with the HQ ARTRAC, while the larger CAT 'A' Establishments have a fairly good strength of families.
Considering this, family welfare activities under overall guidelines set by central AWWA are carried out at ARTRAC and the Cat A Establishments. We at ARTRAC have evolved an approach to welfare as per the requirements in the CAT A Establishemtns, which have a comparatively larger population of officers and their wives, both in the permanent staff and the student offrs, besides the PBOR and their families.Special emphassis is given in educating the young brides on the ethos of the Army.
