Introduction .  Khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVIC),  a yeomen project, which commenced on 12 June 06, for the empowerment of our Veer Naaris, Nok of Ex Servicemen and Ex Servicemen has further blossomed under the aegis of Mrs Kirti Kapoor, President AWWA, to reach out to the needy and deserving in the army fraternity based in villages around cantonments, in all corners of the country.  Every year, about 1500 women join the list of AWWA widows and more than 55,000 soldiers retire. We are duty bound to rehabilitate them socially and economically. In last one year 29 Awareness Camps have been carried out sensitizing One Lakh Ex-servicemen and their NoK.
